Half Marathon to Benefit ReStore

Save the date! The 2nd Annual WESTERN MARYLAND HALF MARATHON & 5K Walk will be October 10, 2009, in Hancock, Maryland at the Western Maryland Rail Trail. The ReStore has this to say:

We would like to invite you to join us in the effort to raise awareness and funds for Habitat for Humanity of Washington County's ReStore Initiative, which will also help promote your business and show our mutual concern and desire for solutions to these important goals. By supporting the Western Maryland Half Marathon, your organization is doing more than participating in a fundraiser for ReStore. A ReStore is a Win-Win-Win for the community, the environment, and Habitat for Humanity of Washington County. Through the houses we build, hope is restored, lives are changed, and communities become healthier as the cycle of need is broken. We have high hopes for this event and our desire to bring awareness to these issues to everyone who may choose to participate. We know we can’t succeed without the support of the socially and environmentally conscious people in our community – THAT MEANS YOU!
